"The House In The Hole In The Side Of The Tree" by V. Gilbert Beers and illustrated by Jan Jones uses various animals and their relationship with
each other to teach young ones about interpersonal relationships. This charming story illustrates how different kinds of critters (or people) can get
along.

"The Tender Flame: by Al and Joanna Lacy is a historical novel and love story. A young couple are planning their wedding when the Mexican American War breaks out. He is sent to Mexico, reported wounded, and presumed dead. He later returns home to find that his fiancee has married another.

"Loving God" by Charles W. Colson offers a penetrating and challenging look at the costs and joys of being a Christian. Mr. Colson converted to
Christianity before spending time in prison on a Watergate related charge.

"Jesus is My Teacher" by V. Gilbert Beers and illustrated by Robert Boehmer. This is a learning to read book. It can be
used by parents to introduce devotion into the lives of children. Now, at the beginning of the school year, is an excellent time to introduce story time into the lives of your pre-school and school age children (if it isn't something you
are already doing). Children who have someone to read to them at an early age are very apt to become children who most enjoy reading for themselves.

"Who Needs God?" by Harold Kushner is book that shows the difference a religious commitment makes in our lives. With warmth, clarity, and force Rabbi Kushner writes about his faith and shows how faith can enrich the life of all
of us.

"Abraham and Sarah, The Long Journey: by Roberta Kells Dorr is a fictionalized account of Abraham , chosen by God to father a nation and Sarah, his beautiful and stong-willed wife. This is a novel of faith, romance and
human emotion; a story of love and determination.

"Stories From The Bible adapted by Claudia Vurnakas and Mitsu Yamamoto.  The book contains illustrated classics 
from both the old and new testaments. This delightful retelling of the great stories of the Bible will please young readers. 
 
"These High Green Hills" by Jan Karon is the third book in the Mitford years series. 
This novel is the story of the marriage of the sixty-something rector and his vivacious next door neighbor. 
A heart warming and hilarious visit to the fictional township of Mitford.  

"Lord, Let Me Love" by Marjorie Holmes is a collection of selected writings about human love,                                              our love for each other, love for this incredible and beautiful world, love for the precious gift of self and God's love for us.

"Bible Friends to Know" by Floyd Barnard is the children's selection for June. 
This little book contains eight stories featuring familiar Bible friends.  It is written for the 5 to 8 year old age group. 
 
 "God, I Know You're Here Somewhere - Finding God in the Clutter of Life" by Elizabeth Cody Newenhuyse 
helps the reader to discover that life doesn't get in the way of knowing God. 
Our daily life actually points toward real intimacy with God.  The author assists the reader in rediscovering that simple closeness. 
 
"The Sacred Shore" by Janette Oke and T. Davis Bunn is a work of historical fiction.  
It tells of an extraordinary set of journeys made by various individuals.  New beginnings are connected to the past. The common
thread for these characters is a yearning to discover identities in family, community, and God.
